A climactic finale to an unbelievable series! I was left heartbroken at the end of Dreamfever but Karen Marie Moning totally redeemed herself from her usual jaw-dropping cliffhangers with this one! Shadowfever is an emotional and thrilling ride I did not want to end!We finally learn more about Mac's origin and the long awaited truth about her sister Alina's death. There's one revelation after another, some which are heart wrenching and others which are just totally unexpected and shocking! I thought Mac and her continuous lamenting hindered the book at times but it wasn't enough to keep me from devouring this final chapter in the series! The only expectation I had for this book was a little more romance between Mac and Barrons towards the end and unfortunately was left wanting. I was satisfied with their "happily ever after" and the way things turned out in the final chapters.
I can now say that In the end...after all of the secrets, betrayal, loss, blood, sweat and tears...
My Fever has been sated!!
