I wish I could have liked the book as much as I wanted to...it was just OK for me. I did enjoy the characters, they were a lot of funny moments in the book. The story was very original, I found the hoodoo/voodoo concept very intriguing but the book lacked mystery. You pretty much know what is going to happen. I had a had time loving the heroine in this one, she was too much of a loose cannon with her fist and lacked an extensive vocabulary, the "goddamn" out of her mouth in every other sentence was not original. Loved the best friend Bell, Layne and Dallas, they added a little spic and humor to the mix. If you're looking for any steamy scenes look elsewhere! I think the series has great potential and I hope the next book in the series gives us more!
